The article presents Apophatism as the key element of a true theological epistemology, as proposed by the Fathers of Church in the fourth century and by Joseph Ratzinger. This shows a real convergence with the epistemological limitations discovered by natural sciences in their research, ranging from Galileo to Chaos Theory and Quantum Mechanics. This convergence points to the incommensurability of reality with respect to human conceptual categories.
